The commercial premises market in Catalonia during the first quarter of 2020 experienced an increase in sales activity, registering 2,251 transactions, which represents an increase of 14.85% compared to the previous quarter. Despite this increase, the average price per commercial premises showed a slight adjustment, standing at €154,751, with a quarterly decrease of -4.93%.
The province of Barcelona accounted for the largest volume of activity, with 1,699 sales and an average price per square metre of €1,607/m², reflecting a quarterly growth of 0.92%. In the city of Barcelona, sales reached 733, with a quarterly increase of 34%. In terms of prices, the average value per commercial premises in the capital was €275,154, although it suffered a quarterly decrease of -7.77%.
This report highlights a positive quarter in terms of commercial premises transactions in Catalonia, although with a slight contraction in prices.
