The report "Local Map of European Cities 2024", carried out in collaboration with EIXOS Economic Observatory, offers a comprehensive analysis of the commercial landscape in 12 key European cities, including Barcelona, London, Paris and Madrid. With more than 300,000 premises evaluated, this study not only highlights the density and occupation of commercial premises, but also the challenges and opportunities in the sector.
Barcelona leads the ranking in commercial quality, standing out for its attractiveness in active and efficient locations, surpassing Paris, Madrid and London. However, Paris tops the list in terms of average price per square meter, followed by London, Milan and Munich. These figures reflect how quality and cost are unevenly distributed among the main European cities.
The report also delves into the importance of international office districts, where the 22@ district of Barcelona is positioned as the leader in density and assets, followed by Castellana in Madrid and Wall Street in New York. This data highlights the competitiveness of Spanish cities in the business and technological field.
London, with a commercial occupancy of 94.2% and a density of 478 premises per square kilometer, shows its strength in commerce. However, it also reflects a notable segmentation between premium areas such as Westminster and Soho versus areas with less activity.
This analysis is a valuable tool for real estate agents, investors and urban managers interested in understanding the dynamics of commerce and planning effective strategies. The "Local Map of European Cities 2024" not only provides relevant data, but also encourages reflection on sustainable urban development and adaptation to a constantly changing commercial market.
