The “Map of Commercial Premises in Spanish Cities 2023” presents a detailed analysis of the situation of commercial premises in the main cities of the country, with more than 300,000 inhabitants. This report, prepared by EIXOS Economic Observatory in collaboration with API, aims to offer real estate agents a tool to assess the commercial viability of different urban areas.
Using a scoring and rating system, the report classifies and rates commercial areas in cities such as Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia and Seville, evaluating key factors such as the density of premises, their occupancy and the commercial attractiveness of the surroundings. This analysis allows identifying areas with high commercial activity, which makes it easier for real estate agencies to acquire properties in strategic locations suitable for commerce. Among the results, the high concentration of commercial premises in the centre of cities such as Barcelona and Madrid stands out, while others, such as Alicante and Murcia, show a less homogeneous and more fragmented occupancy.
This report is essential for understanding the distribution of retail premises in Spain's largest cities, providing industry professionals with a useful guide for making strategic decisions in the retail market.
