The storage market in Catalonia has recorded a 12.16% increase in the number of sales listings during the second quarter of 2024, reaching a total of 950 storage units. Prices per square meter have also increased slightly, with a quarterly rise of 0.61%, standing at €1,029/m², while the average price per storage unit rose by 10.91%, reaching €7,368.
In the rental sector, listings have also increased by 12.25%, with a total of 1,072 storage units available on the market. The rental price per square meter showed an increase of 3.16%, standing at €21.25/m² per month, while the average monthly rental price remained stable at €102.8.
The storage market in Barcelona remains the most active, with a 31.84% increase in the number of sales listings and an average price per square meter of €1,207. In the city of Barcelona, prices continue to rise, reaching €2,947/m², reflecting the strong demand for these spaces. Despite the stabilization of prices, the upward trend in this segment indicates continued demand in Catalonia.
The report reflects price stability in the sector, with a reduction in supply that could maintain pressure on prices in the coming months, especially in major metropolitan areas.
