The storage market in Catalonia continued its upward trend in the first quarter of 2021, recording 1,279 sales, which represents an increase of 19.31% compared to the previous quarter. This figure is the highest in the last ten years. However, in the last twelve months, sales decreased by -10.66%, reflecting the variability of this market.
As for prices, the value per square metre was €1,009/m², with a slight quarterly fall of -1.26% and a year-on-year adjustment of -3.47%. The average price per storage room was €5,592, with a quarterly decrease of -1.98% and a year-on-year reduction of -4.72%.
Barcelona, the province with the most activity, recorded 820 sales, while in the city of Barcelona 104 transactions were recorded, with an increase of 60%. Despite the rise in transactions, prices in the city showed declines both quarterly and year-on-year.
