The garage market in Catalonia recorded a decrease in the volume of available offers during the first quarter of 2022, although prices remained on the rise. The number of offers for sale decreased by 6.28% quarter-on-quarter, reaching 34,466 units, but prices rose by 7.57%, standing at €1,009/m². The average price per garage was €14,407, representing a quarterly increase of 3.22%.
The garage rental market showed a different behaviour, with a notable increase in the number of offers, reaching 8,741 at the end of the quarter, representing an increase of 76.73%. Despite this growth in supply, rental prices also rose, with an average value of €7.62/m² per month, representing a quarterly increase of 4.96%. The report concludes that, despite the reduction in the supply of garages for sale, the market continues to show strength with rising prices, while the rental market is expanding significantly.
