The garage market in Catalonia recorded a significant increase in the number of sales during the first quarter of 2021. 9,221 transactions were recorded, representing an increase of 23.87% compared to the previous quarter, thus accumulating three consecutive quarters of increases. In the last twelve months, 28,212 sales have been made, although a year-on-year adjustment of -17.45% is observed.
In terms of prices, the value per square metre remained stable, with a slight quarterly increase of 0.18%, standing at €1,107/m². However, the year-on-year adjustment was -1.56%. The average price per garage in Catalonia was €14,907, with a slight quarterly increase of 0.77% and a year-on-year correction of -0.54%.
The province of Barcelona accounted for the majority of sales, with 6,557 transactions, an increase of 26.63%. In the city of Barcelona, the average price per garage was €20,072, with a quarterly decrease of -0.43%.
