The garage sector in Catalonia experienced slight adjustments in the first quarter of 2023, reflecting a stabilisation in prices and the volume of offers. There were 33,597 offers for garages for sale, which represented a slight quarterly increase of 0.58%, although with a year-on-year adjustment of -2.52%. The average price per square metre of sale stood at €986/m², with a year-on-year decrease of -2.21%.
In terms of rentals, the number of offers increased by 1.51% compared to the previous quarter, reaching 13,768, while the average rent per square metre fell slightly to €7.54/m². At the provincial level, Barcelona continues to lead both in prices and volume of offers, although with slight falls in the sales market and growth in rentals. This report suggests a moderation in both sales and rental prices, as demand adjusts to the available supply, providing stability to the sector.
