Report on the Storage Market in Catalonia – 4T 2021

The storage room market in Catalonia experienced a significant decline in the volume of offers during the fourth quarter of 2021. Offers for sale decreased by 33.97% quarter-on-quarter and 44.84% year-on-year, standing at 658. However, prices continued their upward trend. The average price per square metre offered was €1,194/m², with a year-on-year increase of 12.86%. The average sale price per storage room was €6,234, with an increase of 18.77% year-on-year. The storage room rental market also showed a contraction in supply, with a decrease of 9.29% quarter-on-quarter and 11.74% year-on-year in the number of offers. Despite this, rental prices increased by 2.03% quarter-on-quarter, reaching €20.61/m² per month. The report highlights the strong demand for storage rooms, despite the drop in supply, with a rise in prices that reflects the sustained interest in this type of property.
