The commercial premises market in Catalonia registered moderate growth during the third quarter of 2021, with 2,166 transactions, representing a quarterly increase of 3.74%. In the last twelve months, sales of commercial premises grew by 14.41%, reaching levels prior to the health crisis. The average price per square metre was €1,353/m², with a quarterly increase of 1.36%, although still below pre-pandemic levels.
The province of Barcelona led the market with 1,650 transactions and an average price of €1,557/m², while in the city of Barcelona 614 sales were recorded, with an increase of 5.86%. The report highlights the trend of recovery in activity, although prices are still adjusting after the historic lows of the previous quarter. The average price per premises stood at €142,570, with an improvement of 4.31% quarterly, although with a year-on-year fall of -7.30%.
