The commercial premises sector in Catalonia recorded moderate growth in the first quarter of 2021. 1,921 sales were recorded, which represents an increase of 8.96% compared to the previous quarter. However, in the last twelve months, sales accumulated a fall of -24.19%.
As for prices, the average value per square metre was €1,353/m², with a quarterly decrease of -4.04% and a year-on-year adjustment of -4.72%. The average price per commercial premises was €138,197, which represents a reduction of -2.15% compared to the previous quarter and -10.70% year-on-year.
The province of Barcelona led the activity with 1,367 sales, while the city of Barcelona registered a 22.56% growth in transactions. However, prices in the capital fell by -6.22% quarterly and -8.03% year-on-year.
