The storage market in Catalonia experienced a notable growth in the number of sales during the fourth quarter of 2020, with a total of 1,072 transactions, representing a quarterly increase of 10.97%. However, the annual figures show a year-on-year decrease of -8.83%. As for prices, the average price per square metre stood at €1,022/m², with a slight decrease of -0.67% quarter-on-quarter and a year-on-year drop of -3.29%.
The average price per storage room was €5,705, with a quarterly increase of 1.46%, although registering a year-on-year decrease of -2.94%. In the province of Barcelona, 721 sales were registered, while the average price per storage room in the city of Barcelona was €9,478, with a year-on-year decrease of -4.73%.
This report highlights the recovery of the self-storage market in Catalonia in terms of transactions, although prices continue to decline.
