The commercial premises market in Catalonia continued its recovery process during the fourth quarter of 2020, with a total of 1,763 sales, representing a quarterly increase of 4.63%. However, in year-on-year terms, the market experienced a decrease of -22.64%. Prices per square metre remained slightly stable, standing at €1,410/m², with a quarterly increase of 3.06%, although with a year-on-year adjustment of -0.16%.
The average price per commercial premises was €141,230, with a quarterly adjustment of -8.17% and a year-on-year decrease of -13.24%. In the province of Barcelona, 1,323 transactions were registered, while the average price in the city of Barcelona was €263,688, a year-on-year decrease of -11.61%.
This report highlights how the commercial premises market in Catalonia continues to recover in terms of activity, although prices still reflect the effects of the health crisis.
