During the third quarter of 2022, the commercial premises market in Catalonia remained stable, with slight growth in both the number of offers and prices. There were 36,193 offers of premises for sale, which represents a quarterly increase of 2.2% and a year-on-year growth of 15.52%. The average price per square metre was €1,289/m², with a quarterly increase of 2.16% and a year-on-year growth of 3.31%. The average sale price of commercial premises was €226,402, showing a slight quarterly improvement of 0.77%.
The rental market also experienced growth, with 30,230 rental offers registered, representing a quarterly increase of 9.01%. The price per square metre for rent rose to €11.02/m² per month, with a year-on-year increase of 3.09%. However, significant territorial differences were observed in the behaviour of the market, with Barcelona leading in number of offers and prices, while other provinces such as Tarragona experienced negative adjustments in some indicators. This report highlights the stability of the commercial premises market in Catalonia, with moderate increases in both sales prices and rents, and with a constant demand that continues to drive the sector.
